Bom Pom
Bom Pom is a boundary-dissolving sound designer, music producer, is and DJ whose work bridges ritual, raw texture, and forward-thinking electronic experimentation. Originally from Ruma Village in Myagdi District and now working between the mountains and lakes of Pokhara, Bom Pom channels landscape, memory, and machine into immersive sonic experiences. Rooted in analog-digital synthesis and driven by exploratory instinct, his practice moves fluidly across genres—industrial pulses, deep atmospheric drones, fractured rhythms, psychedelic undertones, and underground club energy. Each performance becomes a live laboratory where hardware synthesizers breathe, distort, and evolve in real time. Beyond sound, Bom Pom expands his artistic language through visual mapping and projection, sculpting environments where audio and light collide. His sets are not just performances but spatial experiences—transforming venues into temporary portals of frequency and form. As Co-Founder of Digital Nomad Records, he actively cultivates experimental and underground music culture, organizing boundary-pushing festivals and events that spotlight emerging voices and alternative sound movements. His releases are available on Bandcamp, documenting a sonic journey that resists categorization and invites deep listening. Bom Pom operates at the intersection of landscape, circuitry, and collective energy—an avant-garde architect of sound shaping new terrains in underground electronic culture.
My performance is an evolving, site-responsive experimental set shaped by the vibe, the location, and the collective energy in the space. I don’t follow a fixed structure — each set unfolds intuitively in the moment.
The instruments I use also depend on that energy. Sometimes it’s an elaborate hardware setup with multiple analog synthesizers, drum machines, sequencers, and effects, building dense, immersive layers of sound. Other times, it’s a minimal mixing configuration — a single synth or stripped-down setup — focusing on raw frequencies, subtle modulation, and space.
Everything is performed live with hybrid setup, with real-time manipulation and improvisation at the core. The result can move between atmospheric, hypnotic textures and raw, rhythmic intensity. No two performances are the same — it’s always a dialogue between machine, environment, and audience.
