Constanza Bitthoff is an Argentine contemporary dancer who received her training at the National School of Art (ENA) in Cuba 1990. She worked as a permanent dancer at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico before settling in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she founded El Galpón Theatre. There, she created numerous dance and theatre works within her own company, combining the expressive language of Cuban modern dance with the archetypal characters of Orisha folklore and physical theatre. A researcher of expressive body languages, she has dedicated herself to directing contemporary works of her own authorship in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, and Colombia. Later established in Barcelona, Spain, she became part of the teaching staff at Chroma Theatre, where she shared her experience as a physical performer and choreographer, both interpreting and directing works. She completed postgraduate studies in Art and Body in Barcelona, Spain, and earned a Master’s degree (TEC) from Bircham International University, USA. When invited to collaborate as a physical performer in projects with visual artists and galleries, she finds an ideal environment for creating performative pieces. Her artistic journey later carried to Nepal . She currently based in Nepal, where she is part of the local artistic community .Her practice is informed by the country’s rich cultural context , allowing her to develop and deepen her individual work while actively enganging in exchange and dialogue with other artists Her work develops and is enriched through cultural exchange with the country itself and with others such as Japon and India, Mexico , Uruguay , Spain, Nepal.
