Farabi Toshiyuki Suzuki Based in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. A DJ, singer-songwriter, and sound artist. He composes using shamisen, Asian percussion instruments, and self-made instruments, using cassette tapes and software as mediums. His sound is developed upon the concept of “universal world”, advocated by the philosopher Al Farabi. Farabi seeks to synchronize primitive and futuristic approaches. Visual effects, phenomena, reverberation, and psychological factors are all taken in consideration at the same time. Since 2019, he has released over 40 titles through labels in Europe, the United States, and South America, with his music being played on BBC Radio and other radio stations around the world.
In addition to his solo work, he actively collaborates with performance artists such as the ANTIBODIES Collective and Motoya Kondo, both in Japan and internationally.
In 2024, he successfully completed his first European tour.
In February 2025, he performed six gigs across Vienna, the Czech Republic, and the UK, and participated in the Nepalese art festival Boiling Harmonies 2025. He continues to expand his activities both domestically and abroad.
