Samana Nachhiring Rai is a visual,performance,installation artist and a print maker currently based in Kathmandu,with an ambivert nature,full of curiosity and a love for learning,she completed her BFA,then studied Anthropology to explore her interests further,before earning an MFA in printmaking. Combining her passion for arts and anthropology,she is fusioning word ‘Arthropologist”, for herself. Samana’s work blends traditional & modern styles,creating conversations that connect with both local and global viewers.Her signature style\material is threads as she believes that her life started from a string like a thread so.In her printmaking,she mixes classic techniques with new ideas,exploring themes like memories,belongings,nostalgia,all while reflecting her strong roots & insights into today’s world. She is in love with woodcutting at the moment,as she’s able to explore many colorful landscapes. Personally, she feels easy to express medium is Performance art.Through her performances, she captivates viewers with emotional stories & immersive experiences,encouraging them to think deeply about society & the human experiences.
